Colorado Mosaic Artists March meeting will be at 40West Arts District on Sunday, March 13th, from 1pm-4pm. 40West is located just north of Colfax (west of Casa Bonita) at 1560 Teller St, Lakewood, CO 80214.
Our host this month is Marlea Taylor. After snacking and socializing the meeting will start promptly at 1:30. Those members with last names ending in A-L, are asked to bring a snack or drink to share.

Liz Black of 40West will give us an update on what’s going on in the district. They have hosted a number of our artists in their exhibitions of which Misha Moore and Jean Wilson are included in their current show, Characters of Colfax. After Liz, Ben D’Andrea will give us a presentation on the importance of obtaining quality images of our artwork. He will also provide tips for the DIYers. Don’t miss it!

Unfortunately, there may not be time to share artwork at this gathering. We will need to be out of there no later than 4pm to accommodate an evening performance at the Edge Theatre.

If you have any questions, please let us know!

ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, 18 March 2016

Receptions: Because the show happens to be opening on April 1st we will have a First Friday reception for the public that evening. The Tennyson Art District has a following for First Fridays and if the weather is good, they will have a large turnout. The space at R2 Gallery is rather small and so we would prefer that members come to the member reception on Friday April 15th. This will be a more intimate reception for our members, friends and families. But if you would like to view the show on April 1st we will have an early viewing from 5 to 6 pm for members only. Please keep in mind that the board will be at the First Friday reception to represent you and help sell your art.

Advertising: Postcards advertising the show will be printed and available for distribution at the March 13th CMA meeting. This will give you an opportunity to pass out, or post to your patrons, friends, and family. To have one of your images possibly included on the postcard, it is important to send images by Friday February 26th.

Sales: There will be a 10% commission on pieces sold through the gallery’s credit card system. Cash and check sales will have no commission. Sales tax of approximately 7.62% will be paid by the artists.
